Susan Dey and Suzanne Crough
In April 2015, the sad news arrived that Susan Dey's Partridge Family co-star Suzanne Crough passed away. Portraying Laurie Partridge's younger sister Tracy, Suzanne Crough and Susan Dey shared many scenes together during the four season run of the popular TV show.
In remembrance, here are a pair of pictures of the two actresses sharing the screen together:
Susan Dey hosts Saturday Night Live
In early 1992, Susan Dey's career was perhaps at its zenith. At that moment in time, Dey was finishing up her successful six season run on the popular TV series L.A. Law, one of her most beloved TV movies (Bed of Lies) would premiere, and later in the year she would star in her own sitcom, Love & War. With her popularity at an astonishing apex, Susan Dey was called upon to host an episode of the legendary NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live.
Susan Dey was a great choice to host SNL. Of course, she was a highly visible actress at this time and her name would be a great draw for many viewers. Dey was also quite adept at working in a comedic setting...she had begun her acting career on a very funny show, The Partridge Family, and had also starred in another short-lived sitcom in 1977. With over two decades of stage and screen experience, the talented actress would have no problem humorously hosting SNL.
Besides spoofing her most popular television characters, Laurie Partridge and Grace Van Owen, in hilarious sketches, Susan Dey also got to appear in some amusing scenes alongside SNL cast members Mike Myers and Rob Schneider. Dey, looking terrific in '92, also sheds some clothing in her monologue...to the delight of the studio audience and viewers worldwide!

Susan Dey: then and now
Here's a cool image of Susan Dey which compares two photos of the beautiful actress at two different ages. One picture is from 'then' and the other is from 'now' (now being closer to circa 2003 when this image appeared in a magazine).
Susan Dey and a puppy dog
Here's a very cool pic of Susan Dey feeding a dog. It's seems that we don't see as many images of Susan Dey interacting with animals as we would like...but this one should be good enough to satisfy everyone for a while.
Angel in Green featuring Susan Dey
In 1987, Susan Dey co-starred with Bruce Boxleitner in Angel in Green. This TV movie saw Susan Dey playing a young nun who is working in a village on an island somewhere in the Pacific. Bruce Boxleitner plays the army green beret who comes to the island to train the people in the village to defend themselves against violent rebels. Dey and Boxleitner, though their characters are polar opposites, eventually must deal with their feelings for each other.
Susan Dey looked absolutely wonderful in Angel in Green. She had the same hairstyle that she sported in the feature film Echo Park and the first season of her TV series L.A. Law. Dey seemed very youthful and healthy in this project and she had great chemistry with her male co-star, Bruce Boxleitner.
Though it had a VHS release, Angel in Green is another one of those movies that has not been released on DVD. This one seems like a no-brainer for a proper release...Susan Dey and Bruce Boxleitner have tons of fans and the subject matter of the movie would likely appeal to many (military buffs, Christians, 80s nostalgia fans, etc).
Anyways, Susan Dey did some fantastic work in Angel in Green. She gives a very appealing and accessible performance and it certainly ranks among her best stuff. Hopefully, the powers that be will someday give all her fans greater access to this classic made-for-television movie.
Susan Dey makes the cover once more
Over the years we've examined many Susan Dey magazine covers and it's always nice when a new one pops up. Here's a good one (circa 1992) when Susan Dey was promoting her new sitcom, Love & War.
Another Mary Jane Harper promotional pic
Way back in 2011, we first examined one of Susan Dey's most crucial roles, her portrayal of an abusive mother in the 1977 TV movie Mary Jane Harper Cried Last Night. While there's not much more to say on this topic (except that you should watch it now if you haven't already!), there is something for you to look at...another promo image of Susan Dey and her young co-star Natasha Ryan:
